Creating temporary zones

Creating temporary zones

Set up temporary regulation zones in the Regulator. This guide provides step-by-step instructions and main-use situations for temporary zones.

Step 1: Creating the Zone

First, you create a new zone. Here you decide what type of zone it should be (speed, parking forbidden...). In the example, we choose the speed limit.

Step 2: Add Exception

In order for the zone to apply for a given period of time, you have to ADD EXCEPTION to the zone. This tells the system that the zone is actually without rules - with the exception of - our temporary time period. In the example, we use the Event, and it is conceivable that a period from 05:30 to 20:00 on Monday is the time when the rule should apply. You then press CHANGE.

Step 3: End of Event

When the event is over, the zone must be deactivated, otherwise the speed limit will be activated again during the set time exception the following week. The zone can now be deleted or kept inactive. In the example below, the zone has been set as inactive.

Main Usage Situations

  • Speed Limits in connection with events

  • Traffic ban on national holidays

  • Clearing streets

Why Do This?

  • So that operators are not caught off guard by a new rule, for example, at 5:30 on a major holiday.

  • Notify the operators in a suitable channel about the upcoming change.
