Getting Started

The Nivel platform is designed for intuitive use. To support a smooth introduction, these brief step-by-step guides provide clear instructions for each core function. Whether you are new to the platform or just need a quick refresher, you will find what you need here.

General zones and Zones with subtraction

When creating a new zone in the Regulation map, you decide between two main zones types: General zones and Zones with subtraction. Select the right zone type for your needs based on the following information.

Add buffers and vehicle specific settings to zones

After you have created a zone you can add more details to the policies or zones.

Setting up vehicle type specific caps in P-areas

When creating P-areas, you can specify the max/min number of vehicles independently for different vehicle types

Monitoring & managing alerts

City users and operators can monitor and manage parking reports, overflow alerts directly from the regulation view.

Overflow alerts explained

By setting up maximum or minimum vehicle count limits for P-areas and zones, providers can be notified to take action when the number of vehicles exceeds or falls below these limits.

Zones with no parking and vehicle caps simultanously

We sometimes see the need for having zones with both no parking rule and a cap for maximum vehicles. However, this is not possible due to data standard (MDS) issues. But there is a workaround!

Managing Parking Reports in Task Manager

As an operator, you have the ability to login to the task manager and view poor parking reports for your company. Each poor parking report gives you the ability to record the report as either “Fixed”, “Reject”, or “Will Do”. Lastly, a reported poorly parked scooter will automatically be marked as fixed if an MDS-event occurs. You can now find an explanation to each option with an example.
